latest work on Crossrail 2

i have been working on Crossrail 2 lately – holding a round table event and writing a piece for politics.co.uk – linksto both are below:

It is a fascinating proposal and one that I have a lot of support for.  It is no secret that the railways running out of Waterloo through South West London are in urgent need of capacity relief; likewise, as a daily user of the victoria line, this and the northern and piccadilly lines are being upgraded but still absolutely heaving.  London continues to grow – 1,5 million more people and 700k new jobs in central london by 2030 – this growth needs to be supported by the transport network and not stymied.

I am currently writing a more detailed piece following my learnings from the last week and will share here in the coming days…
