I want to note that as a lifelong Wimbledon fan and Dons Trustee that it is a horribly sad today to part company with our manager of 5 years, Terry Brown. Terry has become a Wimbledon legend and history will always show that it was thanks to him that we were promoted form the Ryman Premier, that we went straight through Football Conference South in 1 season, and that at the end of our 2nd season in the Football Conference we won the Play Off Final against Luton on that amazing day in Manchester and came back into the Football League.
I am sure that my reaction is the same as all other Wombles. Terry will forever be one of us, another Wimbledon manager who understands what we are all about and who is a part of the club and the fans. We have come to a point where things need to change on the footballing front, but that is for tomorrow. Today is about reflecting on all of Terry’s immense achievements for our club and I hope that we will be able to recognise him appropriately as we continue to make history.
